Benbrook soccer continues to earn attention beyond district lines.
Lily Chavez has been named GM Sports Media DFW Girls Soccer Player of the Week for February 16 through 21, following a standout stretch that helped power the Lady Bobcats to two dominant wins.
Chavez scored three goals in a 9-0 victory over Dunbar and followed it with another three-goal performance in a 12-0 win over Diamond Hill Jarvis. Along the way, she surpassed 50 career goals, a milestone that reflects both consistency and impact.
The recognition comes as Benbrook sits at 14-3-1 overall and 9-0 in District 7-4A, continuing a strong push through the heart of district play.
For a program that has been building momentum all season, Chavez’s honor feels like a snapshot of something bigger. The Lady Bobcats are not just winning. They are doing it with players who are making their mark across the Metroplex.
