A Benbrook family is turning everyday generosity into hope with a charity garage sale planned for late March.
Longtime resident Ashley Teal is organizing the three-day sale to help cover her mother Traci Hay’s lung transplant surgery and growing medical expenses.
The community-wide effort runs March 27 through March 29 and invites neighbors across Benbrook to both shop and donate. Gently used furniture, clothing, toys, household items, appliances, and holiday decorations are all welcome. Every item sold directly helps reduce the financial burden of transplant care.
Teal shared that the sale is about more than fundraising. It is a way for neighbors to stand alongside a family as they navigate an uncertain season. Donations of items are still being accepted, and prayers are deeply appreciated as the family prepares for the road ahead.
Those interested in donating items or supporting the sale are encouraged to reach out locally and help turn community kindness into tangible care.
