Bobcats Soccer Open District Play with Hard Fought Road Loss.

Cold winds and a tough road test marked the start of district play for the Benbrook Bobcats boys soccer team Thursday night.

Entering the match at 5-6 on the season, the Bobcats traveled to Diamond Hill Jarvis looking to set a competitive tone against an Eagles squad at 2-5-3.

After coming off a 2-0 loss to O. D. Wyatt, the Bobcats faced another challenge as the Eagles found early momentum. The Bobcats settled in and responded with three goals of their own, showing resilience and offensive spark, but the Eagles’ pace and pressure proved difficult to match over the full ninety minutes.

Diamond Hill Jarvis pulled away late, securing a 5-3 win and handing Benbrook its first district loss of the season. The result moves the Bobcats to 5-7 overall and 0-1 in district play.

There is little time to dwell on it. The Bobcats return home tonight to face Southwest, with kickoff set for 5 30 pm. It is a quick turnaround and a chance for Bobcat Nation to pack the sidelines and help set the tone at home.
