Just before noon, firefighters responded to a reported structure fire in the 8200 block of White Settlement Road. Crews from White Settlement Station 18 were first on scene and quickly confirmed an active fire.
Assistance was requested from nearby departments, including Benbrook Engine 53, Lake Worth units, and the NAS JRB Fire Department, underscoring the size and urgency of the response. What was initially thought to be a business fire was later confirmed to be a single-family home fire.
At this time, officials have not released details on what sparked the fire. It is also unclear whether anyone was inside the home or if injuries occurred. An investigation is underway as crews continue their work at the scene in White Settlement.
Residents in the area were urged to avoid the roadway while emergency crews operated. Updates are expected as more information becomes available.
