Tension continues to build in Fort Worth as parents push for clarity on what a potential Texas Education Agency takeover of Fort Worth ISD would look like.
At the latest community meeting, families arrived prepared with questions, many of them centered on transparency, accountability, and the long-term future of the district.
Parents say they left with more questions than answers. TEA representatives struggled to provide clear explanations on how a takeover would unfold or what changes families should expect. For many in attendance, the lack of specifics only deepened concerns about the district’s stability and the leadership that has guided it.
Some residents worry that a state intervention could dramatically reshape FWISD’s identity and long-term direction, while others fear the political fallout for current trustees who have long been active in local and statewide education conversations.
WFAA covered the meeting and captured the community’s frustration and uncertainty. The full report can be viewed at https://www.facebook.com/reel/1881378132453115.
As the state reviews its next steps, families across Fort Worth are watching closely, hoping for clarity about what comes next for their schools and their children.
