Cosmos FC, a local nonprofit known for its community outreach, is assembling Thanksgiving baskets for Benbrook families and is still adding names to its list.
The group partnered with volunteers this week to pack the baskets and plans to distribute them this Sunday in Benbrook.
Residents who need assistance, or know someone who does, can sign up through the Free in Benbrook Facebook group at https://www.facebook.com/groups/955275228342766. From there, families can message Cosmos FC directly to be added.
The organization is encouraging neighbors to spread the word so no family goes without a holiday meal. It is a simple effort built on generosity, and Cosmos FC is working to make sure every basket finds the home that needs it most.
