Pride and patriotism were on full display last Friday morning as five Western Hills High School JROTC Cadets took part in the Veterans Day Rally at Waverly Park Elementary.
Standing tall before a crowd of young students, the Cadets presented the Colors as future Cougars recited the pledges and sang the National Anthem. The moment was more than ceremonial—it was a powerful example of leadership in action, showing the younger students what respect, discipline, and service look like up close.
Cadets Nemganga Muya, Mark Angel, Christopher Robertson, Marckus Reyes, and DeVonne Gould represented Western Hills with pride and professionalism, embodying the school’s values both on and off campus.
Their presence reminded everyone that leadership starts with setting the example—and these Cadets did just that.
