As fall settles into Benbrook, so does the bittersweet close of another successful season for Funky Town Freeze, the local favorite known for serving up smiles one shaved ice at a time.
Today marks the final day of their 2025 season, and to thank the community for a summer filled with support and sweet memories, Funky Town Freeze is offering $1 off any size shaved ice from 3 to 8 p.m.
Located at 930 Winscott Road in the parking lot of The Church at Benbrook, the family-run stand invites everyone to stop by for one last treat before they close up shop for winter.
The owners say they’ve been overwhelmed by the warmth and loyalty of Benbrook’s residents and look forward to reopening in the spring with more icy favorites and friendly faces.
For now, it’s one last chance to grab a cup of joy and celebrate another season of community, connection, and colorful shaved ice.
