The Benbrook Fitness Collective is keeping the community moving this month with a lineup of outdoor workouts and social fitness events designed for all experience levels.
The Turkey Trot Training Series kicks off October 6, 8, and 10 at 7 a.m. with a scenic route from the YMCA to Baja Beach, featuring interval training of three-minute runs and short walking breaks. The series continues October 13, 15, and 17 at 6:30 p.m. on the Art Cowsen Trail, then returns October 20, 22, and 24 to the YMCA route for longer-distance runs.
For those looking for something a bit different, Blading the Trinity happens October 9 at 7 p.m., starting at Pappasito’s for a one-hour skate session along the Trinity Trails.
New players can also try their hand at Beginner Pickleball on October 15 at 6:30 p.m. at Dutch Branch Park, a great chance to learn the game in a fun, low-pressure environment.
Residents are encouraged to stay connected for updates and additional meetups through the group’s Discord channel at https://discord.gg/cZcs3EZg.
With cooler weather and community energy building, October is shaping up to be the perfect month to get outside, stay active, and connect with others in Benbrook.
