Benbrook Water Authority Updates Billing and Payment Policies.

The Benbrook Water Authority (BWA) has adopted new changes aimed at improving clarity and fairness for customers. On September 16, 2025, the BWA Board of Directors passed Resolution 2025-06, updating the Authority’s official Policies and Procedures.

Two key updates stand out:

  1. Billing Adjustments: If a water meter malfunctions and there isn’t enough past usage history to estimate a bill, the updated policy outlines how adjustments will be handled.
  2. Payment Extensions: The revision also sets a clear due date for customers requesting extensions, making the process more straightforward.

These changes are designed to reduce confusion, ensure consistency, and give customers better transparency when issues arise.
