Downtown Fort Worth will host a powerful tribute tomorrow morning, Saturday, September 13, as first responders gather for the annual Memorial Tower Climb at the Bank of America Tower, 301 Commerce Street.
The event honors the courage and sacrifice of the firefighters, police officers, and emergency workers who lost their lives on September 11, 2001.
Participants will climb 110 floors, symbolizing the height of the World Trade Center towers. The morning will feature solemn tributes, including the sound of a local Pipe and Drum Band, moments of silence, and the carrying of names and photos of the fallen to ensure they are never forgotten.
Registration opens at 6:30 a.m., followed by a group photo at 8:00 a.m. The opening ceremony begins at 8:15 a.m., with the climb starting at 8:35 a.m.
Proceeds from the $50 registration fee support nonprofits dedicated to helping the families of fallen first responders.
