The Benbrook Senior Citizens Center has unveiled a comprehensive calendar of activities for September, offering members numerous opportunities to connect, engage, and celebrate.
The center, located at 911 Winscott Road, is open Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., and Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Weekly favorites include Hand and Foot, Bridge, Dominos, Canasta, and Mexican Train, along with special events sprinkled throughout the month. Highlights include:
- Sept. 3 – Birthday Bingo and cake at 11:30 a.m. with guest speakers Maleah Ensey, Senior Healthcare Advisor, and Tarrant County Judge Tim O’Hare.
- Sept. 5 – Friday Night Bingo from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., sponsored by Shantrice of Brookdale Tanglewood Oaks.
- Sept. 10 – Breakfast at Cracker Barrel with the Kcathys, followed by Rock Painting at 11:30 a.m.
- Sept. 11 – Lions Club all-day gathering.
- Sept. 17 – Pain and Joint lecture at 11:30 a.m. with Kaci of Peak Physical Medicine.
- Sept. 24 – Field trip to Fuzzy’s Taco.
The month also marks seasonal celebrations, with autumn beginning on September 22.
