Western Hills High School’s cross country team is set to launch into competition with a packed fall schedule that will challenge runners at every level. The Cougars begin their journey at the Cleburne CC Meet on August 23, marking the first step in a season designed to build endurance, teamwork, and confidence.
Here’s the full 2025 meet schedule:
- August 23 – Cleburne CC Meet
- August 29 – Azle Run for the Hills
- September 5 – Lake Ridge XC Invite
- September 18 – South Hills Invitational
- September 25 – Race for the Loot, Granbury
- October 2 – Haltom District Warmup
- October 9 – District 4A-8 XC Championships
- October 20 – *Regionals, Lubbock, TX
- October 31 – *State XC Championships

For students interested in joining, it’s not too late to be part of the team. Cross country is open to both new and experienced runners, with the chance to earn a letter jacket and contribute to a program that values dedication and teamwork.
