Parents at Rolling Hills Elementary may have spotted police officers in the parking lot during morning drop-off. The added presence is not cause for concern but a temporary effort to help manage heavy traffic around Jerry Dunn Parkway and Orchard Way.
Principal Kendall Condit explained that congestion has increased as the school grows. Rolling Hills has expanded from about 400 students last year to more than 650 this fall, with the addition of new pre-K classes contributing to the surge.
Officers will assist with carpool flow to keep drop-off and pick-up times running safely and smoothly. Updates will be shared as the situation develops.
