Here’s something most Benbrook residents don’t think about when the temperatures drop: winter water usage can affect what you pay for sewer services all year long.
The Benbrook Water Authority calculates your monthly wastewater bill based on your average water use during the winter months. It’s called the Winter Quarter Average. The idea is that during colder months, outdoor water use is typically lower, so it gives a more accurate picture of indoor water usage.
Translation? The more you conserve during those winter months, the more likely you’ll see a lower, consistent wastewater bill the rest of the year.
