BENBROOK, TX — Before the April 14 school board meeting began, a group of Western Hills High School students set the tone with quiet confidence.
Members of the school’s AFJROTC Color Guard welcomed guests and presented the colors, carrying out each movement with focus and discipline. Their presence added a sense of respect and order to the evening, reflecting the training and commitment behind the program.
For these cadets, moments like this go beyond ceremony. They are learning leadership, responsibility, and how to represent something bigger than themselves.
It may have only lasted a few minutes, but it is the kind of moment that sticks with people who were in the room.
