Ventana Families Turn Out for YMCA Soccer Clinic.

Ventana kids hit the field Saturday morning for the Benbrook YMCA’s first soccer clinic in the neighborhood, and plenty of families came ready to play.

More than 14 families joined YMCA coaches, volunteers and community members for a morning of soccer drills and games. The clinic wrapped up with kids taking on their parents, leaving plenty of smiles and, according to organizers, some exhausted adults.

The turnout could open the door for more YMCA clinics in Ventana, with organizers already asking families whether they’d like to see another one.

For kids ready to keep playing, the YMCA’s fall soccer season begins Sept. 12, and registration is still open at YMCA of Metropolitan Fort Worth Soccer.

For a first clinic in Ventana, it was a pretty good start: kids playing, parents joining in and neighbors spending a Saturday morning together.
