If you’re driving near Lakeside and Winscott, take it slow.
After Sunday night’s powerful storm tore through Benbrook with wind gusts over 100 mph, the traffic signal at that intersection was left damaged. The lights are now flashing red and will stay that way until the city receives new equipment.
City crews are on it, but it may take some time before full repairs are complete.
In the meantime, treat the flashing lights as a four-way stop and stay alert. One more reminder that even after the storm passes, the cleanup and caution stick around.
