TCAP Offers Free Spay/Neuter Services for Feral and Community Cats.

BENBROOK, TX—On Wednesday, February 26, the Texas Coalition for Animal Protection (TCAP) is hosting a Free Fix Day at seven clinic locations, offering free sterilization and rabies vaccines for feral and community cats—not pets.

The event will take place at TCAP clinics in Allen, Arlington, Denton, Fort Worth, Garland, Hurst, and Joshua, with 75 cats accepted at each site on a first-come, first-served basis. The line closes at 9 a.m., so arrive early.

How It Works:

🐾 Trap One, Get One: Each cat treated earns a voucher for a free spay/neuter and rabies vaccine for another cat at a future date.

🐾 No Limits: Caregivers can bring unlimited cats, but each must arrive in an individual live trap or pet carrier and will receive an ear tip to identify them as sterilized.

🐾 Vouchers for Extras: If you miss the initial 75 slots, stay in line! The next 75 cats will receive vouchers for free services at a later date.

Important Details:

  • No appointment needed—just show up.
  • Additional fees for in-heat, cryptorchid, or pregnancy procedures are covered by TCAP.
  • Caregivers are responsible for optional services like pain medication or viral testing.
