Tandy Leather Moves Headquarters to Benbrook.

Tandy Leather Factory Inc., a company with a rich 100-year history in Fort Worth, is relocating just outside the city limits to Benbrook.

The company has signed a 10-year lease for a new 134,000-square-foot headquarters at Chisholm 20 Commerce Park. The lease begins in July, with rent starting at approximately $111,000 per month.

This move follows Tandy Leather’s recent sale of its corporate headquarters and distribution center on SE Loop 820 to Colonna Brothers Inc., a New Jersey-based food supplier. While the company will continue to operate its flagship retail store, it is also seeking a new location for it in Fort Worth.

Tandy’s leadership changes include the appointment of Johan Hedberg as CEO, following Janet Carr’s six-year tenure. Hedberg brings over 30 years of experience in wholesale and retail leadership. Tandy Leather, founded in 1919 as Hinckley-Tandy Leather, specializes in leather products and operates 99 stores across North America.
