Knightvest Capital’s second annual Renter Sentiment survey reveals a growing attitude shift toward homeownership: More people are choosing to rent.
Nearly 50% of respondents said they rent by choice, and 42% see it as a long-term solution, planning to remain renters for five years or more.
The survey also found that 45% of renters no longer view homeownership as a status symbol, and 33% are uninterested in owning a home—a slight increase from last year. These findings reflect evolving perspectives on housing in today’s market.
