Emergency crews responded to Benbrook Middle-High School around 4 pm today after a staff member experienced a medical emergency.
Fire and EMS vehicles arrived at the campus just before dismissal time. Fort Worth ISD sent a text at 4:32 pm to confirm the situation, assuring families that students were safe and that dismissal was proceeding normally.
The district kept communication simple: a staff member needed help, first responders were on scene, and students were never in danger. Classes and dismissal proceeded without disruption while emergency personnel worked.
Fort Worth ISD promised to provide additional details via email. The staff member’s condition hasn’t been disclosed, which is standard in medical situations to protect privacy.
The quick response and clear communication helped ease concerns as families picked up their kids from what turned into an unexpectedly eventful afternoon.
