Looking for a place to let your dog beat the Texas heat? Benbrook residents recently shared a few of their favorite lakeside spots.
One popular recommendation is the area off Baja Beach Road behind the YMCA. Residents say you can purchase a gate access key from Benbrook City Hall for about $15 to $20, giving access to a quieter stretch of Benbrook Lake that’s popular with anglers and offers plenty of room for dogs to run and splash.
Several specifically recommending the North Holiday Park area as a favorite for getting pups into the water.
As always, keep dogs leashed where required, clean up after them, and be mindful of changing lake conditions so everyone can enjoy a safe day outdoors.
