A kind-hearted Benbrook resident is on a mission to find a forever home for a gentle senior dog affectionately nicknamed Ladybird. After being found at a local park, Ladybird has captured hearts with her calm spirit, sweet temperament, and loyal nature.
Despite efforts to place her at the Benbrook Animal Shelter, the facility was unable to accept her due to capacity constraints. With nearby shelters also full, her rescuer, Danielle Farmer, has reached out to local media and rescue groups, including The Love Pit, in hopes of finding Ladybird the loving home she deserves.
Described as affectionate, well-mannered, and friendly with other animals, Ladybird enjoys quiet companionship, outdoor lounging, and simply being near people. While she experiences some separation anxiety from likely being abandoned, she’s proven to be gentle, house-trained, and full of love to give.
