Before the storm even arrived, parts of Benbrook were already feeling its effects. As of 8 AM, several residents in Timbercrest reported losing power, hours before the expected wintry weather.
According to outage information from Oncor, the outage affected dozens of customers, with no initial restoration time provided. For some households, power remained out for several hours, adding concern as temperatures hovered low and a larger system loomed.
By 11 AM, electricity was restored to the area, bringing some relief and a reminder of how quickly conditions can change even before a storm fully moves in.
Residents are encouraged to stay prepared for additional outages as weather conditions worsen, keep devices charged, and check on neighbors who may be more vulnerable during extended power interruptions.

As this morning showed, the storm does not always wait to make its presence known.
