BENBROOK, TX — Donna Rae Horton, a devoted mother, grandmother, and longtime member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, passed away peacefully on May 10, 2025, just one day after celebrating her 81st birthday.
Born Donna Rae Stricklin in Cisco, Texas, on May 9, 1944, Donna’s life was defined by selfless service, unwavering faith, and deep love for her family. For over five decades, she faithfully served in various leadership roles within her church, touching countless lives with her quiet strength, gentle encouragement, and servant’s heart.
Raised in the wild beauty of Alaska, Donna developed a lifelong love for the outdoors. Yet, it was her role as a grandmother that truly defined her legacy. She was known by those closest to her as the rock of her family, often putting their needs above her own and embodying a life of sacrificial love.
Donna’s presence in the Benbrook community will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
