A growing number of residents in Benbrook are stepping in and up, getting informed, and working together ahead of an important decision that could shape the area for years to come.
Thanks to Krista Erbe and team, the 2871 Community Coalition has launched a central hub at https://www.2871community.org, giving residents a clear look at the proposed Edged Data Centers project near FM 2871 and what it means. Momentum is building, and now is the time to stay informed and ready to act.
The site outlines key concerns, what is being asked of city leaders, and how residents can get involved before the Fort Worth City Council vote on March 31.
Community meetings are already underway.
A planning meeting is scheduled for March 23 at 6:00 PM at VFW Post 10429, 1000 Stevens Drive, Benbrook. Another public meeting will be held on March 24 at 6:00 PM at Rolling Hills Elementary School, located at 10351 Orchard Way, Fort Worth, TX 76126, where Council Member Michael Crain, developers, and city officials will be present to answer questions.
The process leads to March 31 at 11:00 AM at Fort Worth City Hall, where the council is expected to vote.
In the meantime, residents are encouraged to stay engaged by contacting council members, signing up to speak, and sharing information with neighbors.
For many in Benbrook, this is about more than one project. It is about showing up, staying informed, and making sure the community is heard while there is still time.
