New Dress Code at FWISD Targets Teachers Too, But Will It Stick?

Fort Worth ISD isn’t just updating student attire this school year.

Teachers and select staff members are now included in the district’s revised dress code, which encourages a professional appearance. Ties are suggested but not mandatory.

Still, many are wondering how serious the district is about enforcement. Given the track record of loosely enforced student policies, such as cellphone bans and past dress codes, the skepticism is understandable.

Will administrators hold staff to the same standards being asked of students? Some residents aren’t holding their breath.
