Buying a home can feel out of reach, especially with rising costs and hefty down payments.
But a new offer from UMortgage is opening doors for Benbrook families who qualify. Their “Homeownership For All” program is giving eligible buyers a chance to own a home with just a 1% down payment.
Here’s how it works: you contribute 1% of the home’s price, and UMortgage adds 2% more—up to $7,000—to help cover the rest. That means less time saving, and more time house hunting.
To qualify, you’ll need a credit score of at least 620, and your income must fall at or below 80% of the area median. This program is only available for 30-year fixed-rate loans on primary homes, but it’s a strong option if you’re ready to stop renting and start building equity.
In short, this could mean faster move-ins, more money for furniture, and a real chance to call a place your own.
