BENBROOK, TX — For the fourth year in a row, Western Hills High School welcomed the news crew and 5th-grade student council from Luella Merrett Elementary School for an exciting and educational visit.
The young visitors got a sneak peek into the world of Career and Technical Education (CTE), exploring classes that could shape their futures as Cougars!
The day was packed with hands-on experiences, including operating cameras and equipment in the school’s studio, learning the basics of computer hardware repair, and even getting an introduction to Excel spreadsheets through a fun, interactive pixel art lesson.
A big thanks goes out to Mrs. Nicholson and Mr. Pennington for opening their classrooms and sharing their expertise. Special appreciation also goes to Mr. Lado for making sure everyone was fueled up with pizza!
Western Hills looks forward to hosting these eager learners again next year for more CTE exploration. 🐾🎓
