The Western Hills Lady Cougars Basketball ran into another difficult night Friday, falling to a strong Southwest Lady Raiders Basketball squad in district play.
Western Hills entered the matchup hoping to turn a corner but struggled to find an offensive rhythm against tight Raider defense, finishing with 12 points.
Southwest, meanwhile, stayed in attack mode throughout the night, pulling away with 52 points and handing the Lady Cougars their eleventh straight loss. It marked the most lopsided result between the two teams since 2018.
The loss drops Western Hills to 1-17 overall and 0-6 in district play. The Lady Cougars will look to reset and regroup when they return to the court next Friday at 7:30 pm, hosting Eastern Hills as district play continues.
