Benbrook readers are kicking off 2026 with a challenge that rewards curiosity and imagination. The Find What You Like Reading Challenge from NoveList is officially underway, and January’s featured genre is science fiction.
Hosted by Benbrook Public Library, the challenge encourages readers to try something new while keeping things fun and low-pressure. Participants simply choose a science fiction title from the recommended list, grab a bookmark kit at the library, and fill out a short review card after finishing the book. Turning in the card enters readers into a January sci-fi raffle.
Each month will spotlight a different genre, giving readers a chance to stretch their tastes and discover new favorites along the way. January’s sci-fi picks lean into futuristic settings, big ideas, and imaginative storytelling that invites readers to think beyond the everyday.
