The Western Hills Cougars Basketball ran into a tough test Friday night, facing a Southwest Raiders squad riding a six-game winning streak in district action.
Coming off a strong offensive showing earlier in the week, the Cougars found scoring harder to come by against a disciplined Raider defense. Western Hills was limited to 28 points on the night, while Southwest stayed true to form, pouring in 79 points and controlling the pace from start to finish.
The loss moves Western Hills to 6-16 on the season, 2-3 in district play, and fifth in the district standings.
The Cougars now have a week to regroup before returning to the court next Friday at 7:30 pm to face Eastern Hills as district play continues.
