While many were counting down the final hours of 2025, the Western Hills Cougars were busy putting in work on the court at the New Balance Bridgeport Tournament.
The Cougars opened the tournament strong with a convincing 45-29 win over the Boyd Yellowjackets, setting the tone with energy and focus.
In their second game, they faced a tough Mineral Wells Rams squad. Western Hills stayed competitive throughout, but Mineral Wells pulled away late for a 58 to 44 result.
One of the biggest takeaways from the tournament came from the stat sheet. Cougar guard Tristen Foster earned All-Tournament Team honors for his consistency, effort, and impact over the two-day run. It was a well-deserved recognition and a bright moment as the calendar turned to a new year.
With tournament play in the rearview mirror, the Cougars now shift their attention to district action as 2026 begins. For Western Hills, the new year brings a fresh slate, momentum to build on, and plenty to be excited about.
