If your four-legged friend has a flair for fashion, the City of Benbrook has an event worth barking about.
Registration is now open for the Dog Costume Contest at the 18th Annual Benbrook Heritage Fest, scheduled for September 19, 2026, at Dutch Branch Park. From superheroes and pirates to creative one-of-a-kind outfits, dogs of all shapes and sizes are invited to show off their best look.
The contest begins at 10:15 a.m. and is free to enter. Every participating pup will receive a bone, and cash prizes will be awarded to the top three costumes.
According to event organizers, all contestants must be registered by August 31, 2026. Questions may be directed to Mia Gamillo at mgamillo@benbrook-tx.gov.
