FORT WORTH – The Western Hills Cougars were hoping to close their season on a high note, but the Eastern Hills Highlanders had other plans.
In a tough 75-43 loss, the Cougars were overpowered for the second time this season by a Highlanders squad that came ready to dominate. The loss marks the Cougars’ second consecutive defeat, officially ending their 2023-24 campaign.
The Cougars finished with an 8-21 overall record and 3-9 in district play, landing them in fifth place. While the season didn’t pan out in the win column, credit goes to the coaches, players, and supporters who stayed committed from start to finish.
