The Benbrook Bobcats gave their fans a post-Christmas gift to remember, clinching a hard-fought 48-46 victory over the Quinlan Ford Panthers in a thrilling matchup earlier today at the Leonard Basketball Tournament.
Both teams delivered an intense back-and-forth battle, with the Bobcats’ grit ultimately securing the win.
The victory boosts Benbrook’s record to 10-9 for the season and 1-1 in district play. Before the Bobcats take a well-deserved break for the holidays, their next tourney game will be against the Howe Bulldogs.
After the Leonard Basketball Tournament concludes, they’ll focus on gearing up for the second half of their season with hopes of building momentum and stacking up more wins.
The action resumes on January 7, when the Bobcats face the Carter-Riverside Eagles, aiming to start 2025 with a district victory.
