The Benbrook Bobcats made a statement at the Leonard Basketball Tournament, crushing the Howe Bulldogs 49-20 on Thursday in their most commanding win of the season.
After narrowly escaping with a two-point victory in their previous outing, the Bobcats showed no mercy this time, delivering a 29-point drubbing that left no doubt about their dominance.
With this victory, Benbrook has won three of their last four games, boosting their season record to 11-9. Averaging an impressive 54.5 points per game during this streak, the Bobcatsโ offensive firepower has been key to their recent success. Meanwhile, Howe drops to 4-5, struggling to find consistency.
The Bobcatsโ win advances them to the next round of the Leonard Tournament Championship, where theyโll face the Perrin-Whitt Pirates on tomorrow, post a win, and advance to title game.
After the tournament, Benbrook will take a short break before resuming district play against Carter-Riverside on January 7, 2025, at 7:30 p.m.
