A trip to the Meyerson Symphony Center turned into a memorable day for the musicians of Benbrook Middle-High School’s Wind Ensemble.
Competing at the Lone Star Music Festival, the ensemble earned several top honors, including Best in Class, Superior Rating, and Outstanding Performance recognition.
The awards capped months of rehearsals, preparation, and steady work from student musicians and directors alike, all performed on one of North Texas’ most respected music stages.
Adding to the celebration, student musician Kaden Robles received the festival’s Outstanding Soloist Award for his performance.
For students involved in band, moments like these represent more than trophies or ratings. They reflect long practices before and after school, learning how to perform under pressure, and growing together as an ensemble.
The strong showing at the festival continues a successful season for Benbrook’s music programs and highlights the work of young musicians across the district.
