As the Benbrook VFW prepares for its upcoming BBQ Cook-Off, organizers are asking the community to help fill the silent auction tables with donations that support local veterans and community programs.
Donations are being accepted through Friday, May 15, at VFW Post 10429, located at 1000 Stevens Drive in Benbrook. Organizers say contributions can come from VFW members, auxiliary members, motorcycle groups, volunteers, local businesses, and community supporters.
Suggested donations include gift baskets, gift cards, services, handmade goods, and merchandise. Donors can also specify whether proceeds should benefit the VFW, Auxiliary, or Motorcycle Group.
The silent auction will take place during the VFW’s BBQ Cook-Off weekend, bringing together food, fundraising, and community support under one roof.
