Benbrook Theater Students Advance in UIL Competition.

Benbrook Middle High School students are making their mark on stage this spring.

The school’s UIL One-Act Play production of Moon Over Buffalo advanced to the Bi-District round after finishing as one of the top productions at last Friday’s competition. The cast and crew will perform again on March 25 at I.M. Terrell as they continue their postseason run.

Along the way, several students earned individual recognition for their work in the production. Cade Casteel was named to the All-Star Cast, while Memphis Newton and Dominic Navarro received Honorable Mention All-Star Cast honors. Behind the scenes, Riley Fusilier earned the Best Technician Award.

The production team also made school history. Benbrook Middle High School received the Best Overall Tech Award for the first time ever, a milestone that highlights the work happening both on stage and behind the curtain.

For a community that takes pride in its students, the success reflects the creativity, preparation, and teamwork that go into a strong theater program. With the next performance set for March 25, Benbrook residents will have another chance to cheer on the Bobcats as they continue their UIL journey.
