Benbrook Rally Aims to Bless Families Before School Starts.

As summer winds down, one local event is gearing up to make a big impact. On August 3, Calmont Park will come alive with food, fun, and a whole lot of generosity at the Back-to-School Rally, hosted by Ascend Church.

Families in need will receive free backpacks, school supplies, clothing, and a hot meal. There will be games for the kids and plenty of encouragement to help students start the year strong.

But here’s the part where Benbrook steps in. The church is calling on neighbors to lend a hand by donating supplies, clothes, or funds. Donations can be dropped off through August 2 at “the stand” between Tuesday and Saturday during posted hours. If it’s easier, supporters can send a Venmo donation to @Oana-Hoffman with “outreach” in the notes.

One backpack. A set of pencils. A gently used jacket. It might seem small, but it all adds up. This rally is more than supplies—it’s about showing local families they’re not alone as a new school year begins.
