Benbrook’s history just got a boost. Thanks to local resident Suzy, 22 boxes filled with extra copies of local newspapers have found a new home at the Benbrook Public Library.
The collection includes past issues of the Benbrook News, Benbrook Banner, West-Side Post News, and Post News — papers that capture decades of community stories, headlines, and milestones. While the Tarrant County Archives kept one copy of each, these extra editions were looking for a place to land. Now, they’re right here in Benbrook.
The library team, including Assistant Executive Director Miranda, was glad to welcome the donation and is working to preserve this slice of local history.
Residents interested in checking out the collection can stop by the library at 1065 Mercedes St or reach out at benbrooklibrary.org.
