For readers who believe a favorite book deserves a little extra personality, the Benbrook Public Library has a creative evening planned later this month.
The library’s upcoming Book Bedazzling program will give teens and adults the chance to decorate and personalize book covers using rhinestones, gems, and other embellishments. Participants are welcome to bring a book from home or select one from the library’s available titles.
The event will take place June 24 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the Benbrook Public Library, located at 1065 Mercedes Street.
All supplies will be provided, making it easy for attendees to focus on creativity and leave with a one-of-a-kind addition to their bookshelf. Registration is required.
As libraries continue finding new ways to bring people together, programs like this blend creativity, community, and a love of books into a fun, hands-on experience.
