Benbrook residents, mark your calendars. On Friday, April 25, from 12:00 to 1:30 p.m., the Benbrook Public Library is inviting the community to a free educational session aimed at clearing the confusion and fear surrounding hospice care.
This month’s spotlight theme, “April: Busting Myths, Taking the Scary Out of Hospice,” tackles common misconceptions head-on. Many people don’t realize that traditional Medicare fully covers hospice services, which aren’t limited to end-of-life care, and are designed to support families, not just patients.
Led by Kim Waid, a seasoned expert with over 15 years of experience, the session will cover what hospice truly offers, when it’s appropriate, and how it can bring peace of mind during difficult times. A light lunch will be provided for attendees.
The event is part of the BrightStar Care Community Education Series and will take place at the Benbrook Public Library, located at 1065 Mercedes Street.
