Cadets in the Benbrook Middle-High School JROTC program are being recognized after earning one of the program’s highest honors during a recent evaluation.
The battalion received a program score of 96 percent, securing the Honor Unit with Distinction designation, an achievement commonly represented by a gold star. The score places the Benbrook program among the top 10 percent of JROTC programs nationwide.
School officials praised the accomplishment as a reflection of the discipline, leadership, and commitment demonstrated by the cadets throughout the year.
Congratulations were also extended to Chief Cunningham and Master Sergeant Watson for helping guide the program to national-level recognition.
The distinction adds another milestone to a strong year for student leadership programs across the Benbrook campus.
