A Benbrook family is turning their Christmas Day into something more than gifts and gatherings.

Vanessa Brown shared that her family wants to begin a new tradition focused on helping neighbors in need and is inviting the community to join them. Their first annual Winter Clothing Drive is underway from December 1 through December 24, with all donations going toward keeping local homeless residents warm this winter.

The drive is collecting hats, socks, scarves, winter coats, sweaters, gloves, and blankets in both menโ€™s and womenโ€™s sizes. These are simple items, but for someone living outside in the cold, they can make a real difference.

Residents can drop off items by coordinating with the family at 682-551-9010. Those who prefer to donate financially can send money to Venmo to Vanessa12Brown, and the family will purchase the needed items on behalf of the donor.

The Browns say their goal is to match the spirit of the season with action, giving where the need is most felt. It is a small, heartfelt effort that shows how one familyโ€™s generosity can ripple out across an entire community.
