Benbrook City Council Meets Thursday With Key Decisions on Finance and Parks.

BENBROOK, TX — Benbrook City Council will meet Thursday, December 18, at City Hall, located at 911 Winscott Road, with several items on the agenda that may be of interest to residents.

The evening begins with a pre-council work session at 6:30 p.m., where council members will review and discuss items scheduled for formal action. The regular council meeting starts at 7:00 p.m. in Council Chambers.

Residents will have an opportunity to speak during Citizen Comments, with remarks limited to three minutes per speaker. Council will also review and consider approval of minutes from the December 4 meeting.

Highlights on the agenda include a resignation from Alternate Place B on the Zoning Board of Adjustment and Appeals Commission, followed by possible appointments to various boards and commissions. Council will also receive the city’s finance report for the period ending November 30, which includes revenue, expenditures, and sales tax comparisons.

Additional items include the readoption of the city’s tax abatement guidelines, an update to the Capital Improvement Program, and a proposed contract to replace playground equipment at Castle Park and Robot Park.

The meeting will close with informal citizen comments and brief remarks from council members and staff, limited by state law to announcements, recognitions, and public information items.
