A quiet room, a shared story, and a chance to see history through a personal lens. That is what’s ahead as the Benbrook Public Library invites readers to its April book club gathering.
This month’s selection is One Good Thing by Georgia Hunter, a World War II novel set in Italy that follows a young woman entrusted with protecting a child’s life during the chaos of war. Known for her work We Were the Lucky Ones, Hunter brings another story shaped by resilience, friendship, and love under pressure.
The group will meet on Wednesday, April 8, at 11:15 a.m., offering readers a space to connect over a story that is both historical and deeply human.
The Benbrook Public Library is located at 1065 Mercedes St. For more information, visit https://benbrooklibrary.org, email reference@benbrooklibrary.org, or call 817-249-6632.
