A Sweet-Reason Factoid That Brought Smiles to Westpark.

BENBROOK, TX — It’s no secret that Westpark Elementary knows how to make Fridays extra sweet. Thanks to the tireless efforts of Westpark PTA volunteers, more than 5,000 cookies were baked and shared with students and staff during the 2024–2025 school year.

That’s right. A whopping 5,075 homemade cookies made their way into the hands of Wildcats every Friday as part of the school’s beloved Cookie Friday tradition. It’s more than just a snack. It’s a little weekly joy baked with care, creating smiles and community in every bite.

Behind the scenes, the PTA’s dedicated “cookie crew” spent countless hours mixing dough, setting timers, and packing up treats to keep the tradition alive. Their consistency and heart made this small gesture one of the school’s most anticipated weekly moments.
